The Boone Planning and Inspections department has labeled 23 apartments at Bavarian Village as unfit for human habitation, that following flooding last week.  Boone town inspector David Little said that he posted the signs yesterday after finding the 23 apartments with mostly drywall damage, some electrical damage, and he said that some carpet replacement was already underway.  He said that the management was responding to the situation and would be seeking permits to do the repairs today, but he was not sure just what arrangements management made with the occupants of the apartments.  A friend of residents there reported that residents were unhappy paying rent for damaged apartments, and had few options for alternative living arrangements.
