The Watauga Board of Education will continue their closed session started last Wednesday on Tuesday evening, February 5th, according to a release Friday afternoon from the schools office. The official notification says the session will be a continuation of the discussion of personnel matters, started in that Wednesday session. Speculation has been that at least part of the discussion involves issues of interactions between Superintendant Dr. David Kafitz that have come to light over the past two weeks. The board would have to return to open session in order to take any action at the conclusion of the session.
