 Lenoir-Rhyne's David Richardson has been selected to the 2013 All-South Atlantic Conference Preseason Singles Second Team in men's tennis, league officials announced today. Richardson, a senior from Wake Forest, N.C., went 5-3 last year
in singles competition against conference foes and finished with seven singles victories overall. Richardson also added three more wins in doubles action including a league victory in 2012. In the SAC Men's Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll, Wingate was picked to win the conference for the third consecutive year after receiving seven first-place votes while L-R was tenth in the voting. The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis Team opens the 2013 season this Saturday against Young Harris in Young Harris, Ga., at 1:00 p.m. Lenoir-Rhyne will then travel to Dahlonega, Ga., to face North Georgia on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m., to wrap up the season-opening weekend trip. L-R's first home match is on Tuesday, February 12, against Wingate at 2:30 p.m. All of Lenoir-Rhyne's home matches take place at Hickory High School.
