After investigating an incident, which was reported to the Boone Police Department on January 7th, 2013, Boone Police have charged Michael Brent Bilyeu, age 22, of Boone, NC with one count of Misdemeanor Sexual Battery.  Mr. Bilyeu is alleged to have engaged in sexual contact with the victim without her consent.  Mr. Bilyeu was taken into custody at the Magistrate’s Office and taken before a Watauga County Magistrate where he was assigned a court date of March 26th, 2013 and placed under a $5,000.00 unsecured bond.
