The driver of an SUV was hurt this morning when he lost control of his vehicle, struck concrete pillars, and flipped his vehicle. 57-year old Wilfredo Flores of South Slope Loop Banner Elk suffered some injures in the 7:25am wreck, trooper Hodges saying that Flores was traveling too fast
for the curves and ran off the road, causing the crash. Watauga Medics transported Flores to Watauga Medical Center after initial treatment by Deep Gap First Responders while Deep Gap Fire kept traffic flowing around the scene. Trooper Hodges cited Wilfredo Flores with Exceeding a Safe Speed in the wreck.
