Wind, Flood Watches; Storms Headed Our Way PDF Print

For as nice as the weather was Tuesday, we may pay the rest of the week, with the winds already up, and the first few showers of what could be severe thunderstorms coming our way. Flash flood and high wind watches are already underway, issued early this morning, lasting into Thursday,  that as gusts of wind as high as 44 mph began slicing through the warm morning air in the clash with the cold air behind the storms.  Temperatures overnight were steady in the mid 50’s, after reaching into the 60’s Tuesday, but to give an idea of the change coming, highs tomorrow should be just above freezing and below freezing Friday.  The moisture we’ve had since late last night and overnight is being dragged from the south, caused by the interaction with the two air masses, and the leading edge of the line of storms is crossing middle Tennessee, bearing down on us.
