The Watuaga High athletic department has announced that Friday night's basketball games between the Pioneers and Fred. T. Foard have been

postponed. No make up date has been announced. This is the second time the Pioneers and the Tigers have been postponed this season.
Their first meeting was called off on December 17 following the unexpecting passing of coach and teacher Leigh Wallace. That contest has been rescheduled and will be played Wednesday, January 30 in Newton, N.C. The Pioneers travel to Hickory Tuesday, January 29.  The game has been tenatively rescheduled for Monday, February 4.
Coverage of those games begins at 6 p.m. on Oldies 100.7 FM.
