On January 4, 2013, Watauga County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Mountaineer Towing and Recovery located at 5781 Highway 421, Vilas, NC. Mountaineer Towing and Recovery reported that they had a repossession order for a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer that had been crushed at High Country Recycling.  Sheriff Hagaman reported that the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit conducted an investigation into the incident. As a result of the investigation the following individual was charged and arrested.
·    Tiffany Amanda Auton, W/F, DOB: 03-20-1978, a resident of 1386 Sampson Road, Boone NC was charged with one count of Obtaining Property by False Pretense. Tiffany Amanda Auton was arrested on January 15, 2013 and given a $3000.00 secured bond. Tiffany Amanda Auton is scheduled to appear in court on February 26, 2013.
