Richardson Earns Player Of Week Honors PDF Print

Zeb Richardson was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Week in men's basketball for the week of January 2-5. Richardson was also

named the Guilford College Student-Athlete of the Week by the school’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Richardson averaged 15.5 points and 10.5 rebounds a game in a pair of win against Methodist University and Hampden-Sydney. Richardson had 17 points and 15 rebounds, both career highs, against Methodist University on January 2; he followed that up with 14 points and six rebounds in Guilford’s 68-54 home triumph over nationally ranked ODAC-foe Hampden-Sydney College was ranked 24th nationally in Division III.
Through the first 13 games of the season, Richardson ranks second in the ODAC with 8.3 rebounds per game and is the Quakers’ third-leading scorer (11.8 PPG.). He's shooting 53.8 percent from the field, the league’s 12th-best mark, and stands sixth in the league with 1.3 blocks per game. Richardson tops Guilford with four double-doubles this season.
During the Quakers’ six-game winning streak, he has averaged 13.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game while shooting over 49 percent from the floor.
