The Watauga High boys and girls indoor track teams competed at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Saturday. The Pioneers won three events and produced two state qualifiers. Bryan

rackney and Josh Anderson paced the boys team. Brackney turned in a sixth-place fnish in the 1,000-meter run and qualified for state with a time 2:38.69; Anderson turned in a fifth-place finish in the 1,600-meter run and qualified for state with a time of 4:36.21.
The girls won three events. Doria Kosmala won the 1,000 in 2:07.74; Madison Harman won the 1,600 in 5:27.11; Taylor Drummonds finished first in the pole vault with an effort of ten feet. The Pioneers travel to the JDL Fast Track on Tuesday.
