 Demetrius Kostis cracked the century mark in career wins Thursday night in a tri-match at Black Mountain-Owen. The Watauga High junior picked up a pair of
wins at 132 pounds, raising his unblemished record to 33-0 on the year, and to 101-11 in his career. Kostis picked up his 100th win in his first bout of the night. Mark Townsend at 113 pounds, Gus Coffey at 120 , Cole Sherrill at 138, and Jeremy Critcher at 195 were all 2-0 Thursday night. But the Pioneers suffered a pair of losses dropping both of their dual matches. Cherokee defeated WHS 40-39, and Black Mountain-Owen beat the Pioneers, 46-27. WHS will compete in the Eagle Duals on Saturday.
