Numerous felony charges have been filed against 3 Hudson residents from an incident early Wednesday in Caldwell County in which shots were fired into a residence. At 12:19 am January 2nd, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office received a call of shots fired into an occupied dwelling at 3352 Normandy Park Road near Lenoir.  The victim notified the Sheriff’s Office that the suspects had shot into his residence at him and left the scene in gold in color Ford Taurus. Shortly after the lookout was issued, the vehicle was located traveling East bound on Legion Road at Little Gunpowder Creek Drive by officers with the Hudson Police Department.  Hudson Police, assisted by Troopers from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Spring Street in Hudson.  Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office Detectives responded to the scene and found the firearm used in the shooting and collected evidence from the crime scene and the vehicle.  The suspects Daniel L. Wright, 26 and 22-year old David L. Rogers were arrested and charged with attempted 1st degree burglary, discharging a firearm into an occupied residence, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, assault by pointing a gun, open container in a motor vehicle, and injury to real property.  They are being held at the Caldwell County Detention Center on $150,000 bond.  The driver of the vehicle Maxine B. Pearson, 43, was charged with accessory to a felony and she is being held on a $50,000 bond.
