Indians, Red Tornadoes Remain Undefeated PDF Print

The St. Stephens boys basketball team kept its unblemished record intact by knocking off Bunker HIll 74-51 Thursday night in the opening round of the

Catawba Valley Christmas Classic. The Indians (10-0) led 45-15 at halftime and withstood a furious comeback by the Bears in the second half. Kerigan Farley led the Indians with 19 points; Marcus Conner had 16 points. St. Stephens will play Hickory in the semifinals tonight. Hickory advanced by knocking off South Caldwell 82-59.
The Hickory girls remained undefeated by blowing out South Caldwell 75-22 Thursday in the opening round of the Catawba Valley Holiday Classic. The Red Tornadoes (9-0) led 48-9 at halftime. The Red Tornadoes take on Fred T. Foard in the semifinals tonight. The Tigers (7-3) defeated St. Stephens 67-36 in their first-round game. Yazman Hannah paced Hickory with 20 points.
