The killings in Connecticut of 26 people, including 20 children last Friday, is causing direct local action, as the Ashe Board of Commissioners to meet publically with the Sheriff and the public in a special meeting Friday morning on the issue of school safety. The 8:30am meeting will be with Commissioners,
Sheriff James Williams, and the public is invited to share their ideas about how to keep Ashe Schools safe in a public comment forum for suggestions on the issue. It will be held in the small courtroom of the Ashe County Courthouse. |
