There was an injury in what was described as a ‘long fall’ at a Russell Beach Road address in Vilas mid afternoon Saturday.  Arriving medics called for an air ambulance and WINGS Air Rescue was dispatched to a landing zone set up by Cove Creek Firemen at Linville Creek Road and US 421. Medics then described having to stabilize an object that impaled the patient, causing some delay in making their way to the landing zone.  Other details of the accident are not yet available from the 2:15pm incident.
