Blowing Rock and Boone Fire spent the night saving a structure in the Blowing Rock fire district, a fire under investigation of the Watauga Fire Marshal and Blowing Rock Fire. The call came in at about 12:40 this morning at a River Gorge Vista home off Saddle Hills Road.  Firemen said fire was evident when they arrived, and making entry, they found fire in the laundry room of the former rental house, now being used as the laundry for Westglow Spa.  Two rooms suffered fire damage, the rest of the house smoke damage, but the firefighting effort saved the rest of the structure.  Ironically, Westglow had been using the house for their laundry after a fire damaged their laundry facility recently.  Paul Buchanan of the Fire Marshal’s office said he would be returning to the house to determine what led to the fire.  Watauga Medics stood by at the fire scene overnight.
