Payton Award finalists Eric Breitenstein, who ran for 2,000 yards and scored 19 touchdowns for Wofford College this season, and quarterback Taylor Heinicke,

from Old Dominion have been selected to The Associated Press FCS All-America team. Heinicke had a record-setting season. The sophomore from Georgia passed for 5,076 yards and had 5,546 yards of total offense, breaking records set by the late Steve McNair when he was at Alcorn State in 1994.
Breitenstein is making his second straight appearance as a first-team All-American. The senior ran for 2,035 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, both school records. He also led the Southern Conference in rushing and touchdowns and was second in scoring with 114 points. Breitenstein was also the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row. The Walter Payton Award goes to the top player in FCS.
Sam Martin of Appalachian State was a first team selection on defense; linebacker Jeremy Kimbrough and corner back Demetrius McCray of ASU were named to the second team.
