Three Hurt in Three-Vehicle Tynecastle Crash PDF Print

A three-vehicle accident snarled Tynecastle traffic and caused three injuries late yesterday afternoon. The 3:50pm crash was a multi rear-end collision, starting as 71-year old Frank Anthony Luther failed to slow for traffic turning into a bank just south of the Tynecastle intersection, striking vehicles driven by Ronn Benedict Perrin, of Merritt, NC, which then struck the vehicle of Michelle Laflin Thornton, 45, of Franklin, NC. Injured in the crash were Mamie Cook Luther, 70, in the first vehicle, Ronn Perrin, 48, in the second, and Ms. Thornton’s daughter, Danielle, but the state patrol said that none of the injuries were life-threatening—mostly neck and back pain. The investigating trooper cited Frank Luther with Failure to Reduce Speed in the crash that caused considerable damage to the three vehicles.
