 Watauga High Athletics Director Tom Wright has announced that senior Kim Robinson will sign her National Letter of Intent to play softball at nationally-ranked Lenior-Rhyne University next season.
Robinson will sign Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at the WHS Media Center. Lenoir-Rhyne finished the season with a 48-13 record, a 14-4 mark in the South Atlantic Conference and won both the SAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships for the third consecutive year in 2012. The Bears also advanced to the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the seventh season in a row and earned a spot in the Southeast Regional Finals this year. Since the start of the 2006 season, Lenoir-Rhyne has compiled a record of 288-68-1 for a winning percentage of 81.8. Since 2000, L-R has captured eight conference regular season championships, seven league tournament titles and has made eight trips to the NCAA Division II Playoffs.
