| Ashe County tree graces the White House |

![]() An Ashe County Christmas tree is once again at the White House. The High Country Fraser fir arrived after a long truck ride from Peak Farms in Jefferson.The tree will be in the Blue Room of the White House. Peak Farms won the 2012 National Christmas Tree Association contest to choose the White House tree. Ashe County has had seven winners out of the 12 won by North Carolina overall. The National Christmas Tree Association has provided the official White House Christmas tree every year since 1966. North Carolina has provided more trees than any other state.
