 Lenoir-Rhyne's Graham Duncan, Parker Murray and Joe Anderson have been named to the 2012 Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District II Team for NCAA Division II Football. CoSIDA is the College

Duncan, a junior halfback from Gainesville, Ga., is currently fourth on the team in rushing yards with 435 to go along with three touchdowns while averaging 9.3 yards per carry this year. Duncan is an accounting major with a 3.46 grade point average. Murray, the team's starting center, spearheads a Lenoir-Rhyne rushing attack that is currently ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division II at 370.4 yards per contest. As a team, the Bears are averaging 35.9 points and 432.6 yards per contest this season. Murray, a junior from Ninety Six, S.C., is a middle grade education and religious studies major with a 3.53 grade point average. Anderson, a sophomore defensive back from Lilburn, Ga., is third on the team in tackles with 58 in addition to two interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries. Anderson returned one of those picks for a touchdown and was named the SAC Football Defensive Player Of The Week on September 10. Anderson is majoring in marketing with a 3.53 grade point average. All three players will now advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® ballot and the team will be announced next month. Lenoir-Rhyne (7-2, 5-1), winners of six straight games, will host Catawba (4-6, 2-4) in the regular season finale on Saturday at Moretz Stadium beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Bears have a chance to clinch at least at share of their second straight conference championship with a win over the Indians. Members of the Capital One Academic All-District Team (NCAA II - Super Region II) are selected by CoSIDA, which includes all colleges and universities that sponsor football in the South Atlantic Conference, Gulf South Conference, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and region independent members UNC Pembroke and North Greenville. To be nominated for Capital One Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.3 cumulative grade point average and must be a starter or a significant reserve on his team.
