Watauga High junior Cameron Baker was named the WBTV Player of the Week for the week of October 29 following his performance against St. Stephens on

Friday night, October 26. Baker caught six passes---three for touchdowns---for a new Jack Groce Stadium record 215 yards in a 43-21 victory on Senior Night. Baker and freshman quarterback Aaron Dobbins, who made his second varsity start that night, hooked up on a 50-yard TD toss on WHS's first possession of the game.
Those two hooked up again on a seven-yard TD pass on WHS' next possession in the first quarter, and Baker closed out his night with his third TD of the game on an 89-yard catch-and-run that gave WHS a commanding 29-0 lead.
Baker finished the season with 40 catches for 711 yards and seven TD.
