Jesse Cherry of ZAP Fitness Foundation in Blowing Rock, N.C., won the Governor's Cup 1/2 Marathon Saturday this past Saturday in Columbia, S.C., in a time of one hour, six minutes, ten seconds. He finished more than four minutes ahead of

his nearest competitor.  Cherry, an Alaska native and High Point University graduate, has resided in Blowing Rock as a Reebok/ZAP Fitness athlete since 2010 and is currently preparing for the Fukuoka Marathon in Fukuoka, Japan on December 2nd.
"Jesse has been running between 115 - 130 miles each week for the last 6 weeks and this half marathon is indicative that he is where he should be with a month to go," ZAP head coach Pete Rea said.
