Sunday started and ended with two single-vehicle traffic accidents ending with vehicles on their tops and the drivers injured. Sunday night, the crash was in Ashe County, where 16-year old Tyler Sheets lost control of the 2001 ford F-350 dually truck he was driving on Wade Bare Road
just out of Jefferson. Trooper Collins said the teen ran off the road to the left and crashed into the waters of Ezra Fork Creek, the truck landing upside-down in the water. Collins said that injuries were not life-threatening, but the Grassy Creek teen was transported to Ashe Memorial for treatment. The trooper said the truck was totaled, and that he filed no charges in the wreck. The early Sunday wreck was in Foscoe, posted in an earlier GBR story.
