A 30-year old man was injured in an early morning accident today in the Foscoe area, the man’s car found through GPS and the county’s 9-1-1 system. The first call was at bout 3:30am, the caller telling dispatchers that he had run off of the road—but didn’t know which road
—and he was bleeding from a head injury. Dispatchers plotted the cell call from the 600 block of Clarks Creek Road, and a Watauga Deputy found the car, off the road and completely upside down. He found the man bleeding from a head injury just as Foscoe first responders, then Watauga Medics, arrived on the scene. He was taken to Watauga Medical for treatment while the state patrol investigated.
