Appalachian State University women's basketball will give fans their first glimpse at the 2012-13 squad when the team hosts its Black & Gold Scrimmage on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Holmes Center. The Mountaineers, who captured

their second-straight Southern Conference title a year ago, enter this season with a chance to earn back-to-back-to-back league titles for the first time in over 20 years and just the second time in school history.
Tuesday's scrimmage will feature one split-squad, full-time contest that will give fans the chance to see the team's eight returners as well as its five newcomers. App State's Black squad will be led by assistant coach Andrea Gross while fellow assistant coach Monique Govan will head the Gold team.
Admission to the Black & Gold Scrimmage is FREE of charge.
