The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team (6-5-4, 3-3-2) scored three second-half goals en route to a 3-1 victory over Tusculum (6-7-2, 3-4-1) Sunday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference match

at Pioneer Field. L-R senior defender Chris Johnson (Liverpool, ENGLAND) led the Bears with a goal and an assist in the victory. The match was scoreless until Lenoir-Rhyne freshman forward Santiago Asprilla (Gastonia, N.C.) scored in the 64th minute with a header off a corner kick from Johnson.
Johnson gave the Bears a 2-0 lead at the 68:40 mark with a penalty kick before the Pioneers responded with a penalty kick off their own by Andre Bissmark (Gothenburg, SWEDEN) in the 84th minute.
However, L-R put the match away on a goal by freshman forward Tobias Tobrant (Boras, SWEDEN) with just 34 seconds remaining in the contest. The goal was Tobias' team-leading eighth of the year.
Lenoir-Rhyne junior goalkeeper Stefan Dill (Southampton, BERMUDA) picked up the win after allowing just one goal to go along with six saves while Tusculum's Andy Goellner (Denver, Colo.) suffered the loss despite stopping four shots.
Lenoir-Rhyne travels to Anderson, S.C., for its regular season finale against Anderson next Saturday beginning at 3:30 p.m. Tusculum plays at Milligan on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
