Appalachian State University men's basketball will be on hand to meet and greet fans at the team's annual Fan Fest prior to Appalachian's home footall game against Wofford on Saturday at Kidd Brewer Stadium. In the ticket plaza at

the Northeast corner of the stadium, the Mountaineers will sign autographs, pose for photos and shoot around with fans.
The free event will feature giveaways, a DJ and the popular double shot inflatable from Jump! of Boone for fans while they meet with their favorite players and coaches. The Fan Fest tips off at noon and runs until 3:00 p.m. before the Apps take on the Terriers on the gridiron.
Saturday's event is just the first of many leading into the 2012-13 men's and women's basketball campaigns. The Appalachian State men will open the court to the public with the Black & Gold scrimmage on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m., while the women will host their Black & Gold
scrimmage at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Both squads will open the regular season on Friday, Nov. 9 when the women square off with Lees-McRae at 5 p.m. before the men take the floor against Montreat at 7:30.
