A Foscoe area man was hurt in a predawn crash on NC105, a wreck witnessed by a Foscoe Firefighter who called in the accident. Frank Aldridge saw Hubert Shook’s truck run off of the road, and was the first to reach the 79-year old driver and lone occupant.
Along with the Foscoe units, Watauga Rescue and Watauga Medics were called to the scene, Shook’s truck was only a short distance off of the highway, and rescue units were not needed. Shook was removed from his pickup to the waiting ambulance, transported to Watauga Medical Center for treatment. Trooper Townsend said no charges would be filed.
