The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team (8-1), ranked No. 19 in NCAA Division II, shut out Queens (4-6-1), 4-0, Wednesday night in a non-conference contest at the Moretz Sports - Athletic

Complex. Freshman forward Garcelle Alequine (Wilmington, Del.) scored twice to lead the Bears, who won their fifth consecutive match.
L-R freshman forward Leah Mullins (Kissimmee, Fla.) opened the scoring just 1:16 into the match with her team-leading eighth goal of the year. The contest remained 1-0 until the second half when Lenoir-Rhyne broke the match open with three goals.
Alequine gave the Bears a 2-0 lead by taking advantage of an open goal on a cross right in front of the net by freshman midfielder Kendall Smith (Asheville, N.C.).

 

L-R Men's Soccer Downs Montreat, 5-1

 

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team (4-4-2) won its third match in a row with a 5-1 road victory over Montreat (2-7-1) on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior defender Chris Johnson (Liverpool, ENGLAND) and sophomore forward Mario Pinos Garcia (Guayaquil, ECUADOR) each scored twice to lead the Bears.
Freshman forward Santiago Asprilla (Gastonia, N.C.) added a goal as for Lenoir-Rhyne.
L-R returns home to face Brevard in a South Atlantic Conference match on Saturday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
