![]() The Lees-McRae College women's cross country team finished fifth out of competing NCAA Division II programs at the Charlotte Cross Country Invitational on Friday. Lees-McRae placed 28th overall and fifth among NCAA II teams, totaling 826 points, as Emily Shields (Salisbury, N.C.) led the Bobcats with a 121st-place finish with a time of 24:40.82. Emily's twin sister Katherine Shields (Salisbury, N.C.) finished 133rd with a time of 25:09.94, as Cinthia Lehner (Greer, S.C.) placed 163rd with a mark of 26:40.34. Rayne Delutis (Christiansburg, Va.) and Sarah Monday (Lexington, N.C.) placed 202nd and 207th, respectively.
Bobcats Turn In Strong Performance at Charlotte Invitational
The Lees-McRae College men's cross country team finished 10th out of competing NCAA Division II programs at the Charlotte Cross Country Invitational on Friday. Lees-McRae placed 35th overall and 10th among NCAA II teams, totaling 1053 points. Jared Lupton (Nampa, Idaho) paced the Bobcats with a time of 29:56.34, as Dustin Rudisill (Dallas, N.C.) turned in a mark of 32:03.96. Nate Weston (Banner Elk, N.C.) posted a time of 33:08.61 in his debut with the Bobcat cross country team, while Jordan Meyer (Inman, S.C.) finished with a mark of 34:27.80. Zach Cummings (Duncan, S.C.) rounded out the finishers for the Bobcats with a time of 37:39.35.
