A Tennessee inmate escaped a work detail near and was seen fleeing in a car into Watauga County. Two men in a small SUV were seen picking up Grady Adam Edwards, the trio fleeing from the Butler area on US 321 toward the state line, said to possibly be en route to Wilson NC
—ironically near where authorities are seeking an escapee originally from Yadkin County. Edwards was jailed on charges of Burglary and Theft, and is described in his late 30’s, wearing blue shirt with ‘Tennessee Correctional’ printed on it, and jeans. He’s 5’6” tall, and accompanied by two white males, said to be armed. So far, no sign of the escapee or his accomplices has been reported in North Carolina. |
