Boone Police, backed up by the state’s DWI enforcement vehicle, commonly called the ‘Bat Mobile,’ conducted roadblocks Thursday and Friday nights in Boone.  The Thursday effort was on King Street near downtown, and reports are that along with a number of other citations, 7 DWI’s were charged.  Friday night’s roadblock was on Deerfield in front of the Moose Lodge—both lasting into the early morning hours.
