New information has surfaced about that double-fatal motorcycle crash in Granite Falls Sunday that killed a man and woman from Catawba County. John Franklin and Alison Nixon died Sunday morning along highway 321 after leading police on a high speed chase that started in Blowing Rock. State troopers say they found a hidden compartment on the motorcycle, and inside was meth, two scales, and 17-hundred dollars in cash.  The highway patrol says the money has been turned over to the state to pay the taxes on the drugs found in that hidden compartment.  Law enforcement agencies had broken off the pursuit prior to the motorcycle slamming into an S-U-V while going more than 120 miles per hour.
