Watauga County Crimestoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in the passing of counterfeit money at a local store. On August 16th, two females purchased a watch at the Belk department store in Boone Mall using three counterfeit one hundred dollar bills.
One of the females attempted to return the watch at a Belk store in Greensboro on August 25, but were unsuccessful. The female was seen leaving the store in a blue SUV, possibly a Nissan Pathfinder. Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at 828-268-6959 or the Boone Police Department at 828-268-6900. All information will be kept confidential. Crimestoppers pays rewards for information, which leads to arrests; recovery of stolen property; seizure of drugs and the location of wanted persons. |
