 Bluefield College Volleyball swept its only match of the day, defeating the Bearcats of Brescia in three sets, 25-15, 25-8 and 25-22. Colby Combs paced the Rams with 16 kills, one shy of her season-
high. Combs contributed with an all-around effort adding 11 digs and two serving aces. Fellow freshman Jasmine Morrow matched Combs with 16 kills while leading the team with 10 serving aces. Senior Cheznee Daily racked up 28 assists and freshman Anna Church had a serving ace and a team-high 13 digs. The Rams play UVA-Wise on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. in what marks Bluefield College’s first Mid-South Conference match and first home match at the Dome Gymnasium. Bluefield is starting 4 freshman. Combs and Church are among them. Colby Combs is playing outside hitter and Church is playing Libero.She is playing libero because of an injury to other libero on team.
