The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce welcomes The Embers and Chairmen of the Board to an outdoor concert this Friday September 14th at the Blue Ridge Mountain Club.  Gates open at 4:00 and local favorite, Soul Benefactor gets the show started at 4:15. The Embers take the stage at 6:00 followed by Chairmen of the Board at 8:00.  Fireworks bring the evening to a close.  Tickets are $28 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under.
Billie Rogers, Events Chair for the Blowing Rock Chamber said, “taking advantage of the weather and the beautiful views and grounds of the Blue Ridge Mountain Club make this a perfect venue for a night of dancing under the stars to some of the best music born right here in the Carolinas.”  Organizers say that the format for this concert is the same as the popular Symphony by the Lake at Chetola.  Ticket holders can bring in outside food and beverages for a personal touch to their picnic or they can purchase food and drinks from vendors already in place.  Bring chairs or blankets and carve out the best view for your enjoyment.  A dance floor is in place because “no beach blast would be complete without the chance to shag,” said Rogers.
Starting at 3:30, shuttles to the concert will be leaving from the Tanger Outlet Center on highway 321 in Blowing Rock.
Additional event sponsors include Flow Cadillac of Winston-Salem, the Blowing Rock TDA and the Morganton News & Herald.
