Watauga High men's basketball coach Rob Sanders has announced a schedule change concerning the season opener with Avery. The Pioneers will now play the Vikings at Lentz-Eggers Gym on

Monday, November 19. The contest was originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 20.
"We just heard back from Avery, and they were ok with the change," Sander said. "We did this to accommodate the Old Appalachain Wrestling tournament." And according to Sanders, there is still a possiblity the West Caldwell scheduled for December 21 will be moved up as well. But no make-up date has been announced as of yet.
