Currency Scam Suspect Sought PDF Print

Watauga County Crimestoppers requests your help in identifying the person(s) responsible for the following crime(s): A report was filed with the Boone Police Department on August 17, 2012 by
K-Mart in reference to a fraud that occurred in their store. The suspect presented the cashier with large bills and asked the cashier to make change. The suspect talked to the cashier about playing poker and was able to manipulate the currency and left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a black male is his mid to late forty’s. The suspect was well dressed and was captured on the stores video surveillance.
Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at 828-268-6959 or the Boone Police Department at 828-268-6900.  All information will be kept confidential.
Crimestoppers pays rewards for information, which leads to arrests; recovery of stolen property; seizure of drugs and the location of wanted persons.
