The dispatches from Charlotte Mecklenburg for the press on law enforcement activity with the Democratic National Convention set to get underway lists a woman said to be an ASU student as one of the first arrested.  The dispatch:

A female, Anna Marie Wright (female, DOB 8/9/89), was arrested for wearing a mask and carrying a concealed weapon (knife) at 4th and College around 2:25.
Chris Wright Stephens (male, DOB 12/28/79) was arrested for disorderly conduct, assault on a government official and resisting arrest at the 200 block of South College.
It was not clear whether the arrests came in a protest or other organized a event, but WSOC-TV is saying that she was a part of a large protest that took place Sunday.  The 23-year old is also telling the station that she was carrying a box cutter for use in cutting banners and the like. The information is being disseminated by a joint Charlotte and Mecklenburg effort to pass along all types of information to the press for fast release.
