![]() Former Mountaineer Lanston Tanyi played his first game with his new team on Saturday. Tanyi, who was suspended by the Appalachian State University coaching staff last season for a violation of team rules, made his debut with Colorado State at Mile High Stadium in Denver. Tanyi, who enrolled at CSU as a graduate student in August which made him eligible to play this season, made two solo tackles and he recovered a fumble with a three-yard return against Colorado. The Rams defeated the Buffaloes 22-17. Rams coach Jim McElwain also became the first CSU coach to win his coaching debut in 42 years.
