![]() Seven former Appalachian State University student-athletes remain on National Football League rosters following the teams’ mandatory cuts on Friday that left the regular-season limit of 53 players in each organization. Rookie running back Travaris Cadet (New Orleans Saints), third-year wide receiver Armanti Edwards (Carolina Panthers), second-year offensive lineman Daniel Kilgore (San Francisco 49ers), fifth-year defensive back Corey Lynch (San Diego Chargers), rookie wide receiver Brian Quick (St. Louis Rams) and second-year linebacker D.J. Smith (Green Bay Packers) have made their respective teams coming out of training camp. Additionally, seventh-year defensive lineman Jason Hunter remains with the Denver Broncos but will spend the 2012 campaign on the injured reserve after undergoing season-ending surgery for a biceps injury sustained during training camp.
