It's been quite a success story for former Mountaineer Travaris Cadet. The former Appalachian State University player, who went undrafted, has nestled his way onto a roster spot in the National Football League. Cadet, who signed a free-agent contract
with the New Orleans Saints, currently leads the NFL in four different categories through games concluded last Sunday in preseason play.Cadet, a native of Miami, Fla., leads the league in receiving (with 19 receptions), receiving yards (171), all-purpose yards (368) and first downs (11). He caught four passes for 38 yards, he ran three times for 28 yards, and he returned a pair of kick-offs for a 26-yard average (his longest return was for 29 yards last week) in a 27-24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Saints (1-2 in preseason play) entertain the Houston Texans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Saturday night at 8 p.m. EDT.
