Avery High is adding to its list of new head coaches for the upcoming school year. Last week, Scott Polsgrove was named the new men's basketball coach, this week, the Vikings have named Bruce Daniels the new men's soccer

coach and Serena Smith the new women's tennis coach.  Daniels and Smith were well groomed for their new positions. They both worked together with head soccer coach Tom Evaul as members of his staff the past several years. Smith, who has assisted the girls soccer program for many years, was a marvelous tennis player. She was a state runner-up in tennis before she embarked on a successful collegiate career. Daniels played in the Viking system under Evaul and worked as his assistant.
