![]() UNCG junior men's golfer Robert Hoadley (Southern Pines, N.C./Union Pines) has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for Division I by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Hoadley is one of just 147 Division I student-athletes to be represented on the All-America Scholar team this season. Hoadley, who owns a 3.38 GPA in marketing, also earned Southern Conference Academic All-Conference honors and was named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll this season. He played in a total of 31 rounds, competing in 11 tournaments, with a 75.16 stroke average. His best finish came at the Wolfpack Invitational where he won the individual tittle after firing his best three-round total of 209 (69-68-72). His second day round of 68 was his lowest 18-hole score of the season and second lowest of his career.
BjornsdottiR, Taylor Earn Golf All-America Scholar Honors
UNCG women's golfers Berglind Bjornsdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland/Menntaskolinn I Reykjavik) and Courtney Taylor (Gastonia, N.C./Ashbrook) have been named All-American Scholars by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). The criteria for selection to the All-America Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. Bjornsdottir owns a 3.52 GPA as a freshman. She was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll honors as well as being awarded the SoCon Commissioner's Medal. She appeared in all 10 tournaments, playing 29 rounds, with a 78.66 stroke average. She shot her best three-round score at the Pinehurst Challenge (March 19-20) when she recorded a 227 (73-77-77). Her best finish came at the SoCon Championships (April 15-17), placing 27th overall.
