Traffic on Beech Mountain Parkway is flowing as wreckage from a fatal traffic accident has been cleared. It was a truck wreck that has reportedly claimed one life.  The wreck occurred at about 10:20 this morning at the intersection of the Beech Mountain Parkway and Tumbling Brook Drive, Avery authorities saying that one was pronounced dead on the scene, but no other injuries have been reported. The wreck reportedly involved several vehicles, but a car carrier involved in the crash may account for much of that.  There was also a power outage in the area,  but it has been resolved and it was not immediately clear as to whether the wreck caused the outage.  Avery authorities say it will be at later in the afternoon before the Beech Parkway can be fully reopened, and they asked for patience of drivers needing to get to or from Beech Mountain on the Banner Elk side as other routes require a long detour.
