Want the lowest price gas in the region?  Might want to visit Ashe County.  Two stations in the Jefferson/West Jefferson area dropped below $3 a gallon just before the 4th, and Gas Buddy says the Wilco Hess Station there is still reporting $2.97.  The Hickory/Granite Falls area is consistent with pricing with most reporting prices in the $3.06 to .07 range—one station reporting $3.05.  Gas prices are as low as $3.17 in Avery, with prices of $3.15 in Spruce Pine and $3.14 approaching Marion. Boone?  Well, our prices have dropped, but not lower than $3.18 on Blowing Rock Road, so while the gap has narrowed from the 40 cents per gallon we had back in the spring, but there is still a 15 to 20-cent per gallon gap with stations as close as Ashe County.  See remarkable gas prices?  Send them to GoBlueRidge.net.
