Two suspects have been apprehended after Boone Police responded to a 5am call to a possible vehicle break-in call downtown. Arriving officers stopped one suspect on the scene, but another fled, and was apprehended after a brief chase near Howard and Depot.
Two men were charged, John Tillman Talbert IV, 21, charged with one count of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, and Evan Vincent James, 22, charged with one misdemeanor count of resisting, obstructing, or delay a public officer. Both were given July court dates and secured bonds of $3,000 and $500 respectively. Talbert was allegedly seen by a victim entering the victim's car, and James was charged for interfering with the responding officers' investigation and fleeing the scene.
