Three injuries were reported in a wreck today on US 321 at Riverview Grocery when a car lost its brakes and struck a turning truck. The 12:40pm wreck occurred when Heather Edmisten of Sugar Grove rounded the curve at the store, the 20-year old finding she
could not stop her car for the turning truck that Jason Keene was driving, and she struck the turning truck. Initially, no injuries were reported, but first responders reported injuries sufficient to call for two ambulances, and three were taken to Watauga Medical Center to be checked, the third being Kenneth Riddle of Kingsport, the passenger in the GMC truck belonging to Capitol Meats. No charges were filed, as trooper Brown found that the brakes were out on Heather Edmisten’s Chevy Cobalt. |
