When does a price difference become price gouging? Does it really cost 30-cents a gallon to haul gas up the mountain?  The price at the Wilco-Hess station in Granite Falls Friday was $3.44.9—and reports are that it is at $3.39.9 this morning, that while Boone area prices are still fluctuating, many still in the upper $3.70’s, while the local Wilco-Hess on Blowing Rock Road is 34-cents higher than its sister station in Caldwell.  I’ve put in an inquiry to Wilco-Hess and Kangaroo Express home offices—plus Virginia Foxx and the NC Attorney General’s office. I’ll let you know what I hear from these.
